The AMF Banquet is held annually (this is the 4th event) to honor Anne Marie Fajgenbaum – whose life inspired the creation of “AMF” – and to celebrate the success of the National Students of AMF Support Network
Angela Hampton, from ABC-11, will be the MC again this year and Dr. Gerald Grant, a brain surgeon from Duke and an Air Force doc, will be awarded the 2009 AMF Award and offer the keynote address.
Proceeds from the event will go towards developing the current chapters of Students of AMF, creating new chapters, and offering new programming to college students coping with the illness or death of a loved one. This fundraiser provides all the funds for the annual budget for the organization. 100% of the time and energy of the Executive Team is devoted to programming and chapter development throughout the year thanks to the success and funds raised at this annual event.
$50 registration will include a family-buffet dinner in the Banquet Hall of Vaughn Towers, a multi-million dollar facility that has been made available at a discounted price for this event. Family members and friends of all ages are encouraged to attend.
Raffle tickets will be sold and a live auction will be led by Jim Branch.
Dress will be country club casual.
Cash bar will be available.

Note from David:
Also, if you can, please help us by sending this info to your friends and family
and encouraging them to attend either the Boot Camp or AMF Banquet (info below). Getting new people to attend our
events helps us a great deal to spread our mission with more people,
maybe the new person that you spread this to will know a college
student coping with illness or loss and share this resource with them.
The 2009 AMF Weekend, August
15-16, is held annually to raise money to support college students coping with the
illness or death of a loved one through the National Students of AMF
(deceased or "Ailing Mothers, Fathers," or loved ones) Support Network.
Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxgnQUIyMow for a 2-minute story about our organization or www.studentsofamf.org . Family members and
friends of all ages are encouraged to attend both events.
If any of your friends will be out of town, but would still
like to support our work, they can make an entirely tax-deductible donation
online or get our mailing address to send in a check at http://studentsofamf.org/Make_a_Donation-sid-7.html .
Thank you so much for your support!
